Using Reserved Keywords With Microsoft Excel

A new feature was added to allow a query from Microsoft Excel and ODBC on tables containing fields identified with c-treeACE SQL reserved keywords. The c-treeACE SQL ODBC Driver now consider field names preceded by table name (i.e. tablename.fieldname) as a field even when they are reserved keywords.

To use this particular feature with Microsoft Excel and the c-treeACE SQL ODBC Driver, a data source should specify the string “DHQQII” in the new Options field of the Data Source Configuration window. This will turn on this special processing for only this connection.
