Invoking the ODBC Data Source Administrator Utility

To configure any ODBC data source, invoke the ODBC Data Source Administrator Utility (The c-treeSQL ODBC driver installation procedure installs the ODBC Driver Manager software and the associated ODBC Data Source Administrator utility if it was not already installed):

  1. Select the Start | Settings | Control Panel menu option.
  2. Double-click the ODBC Data Sources option in the Control Panel. The ODBC Data Source Administrator dialog box displays.
  3. On Windows 2000, choose between a User or System data source (user data sources are visible only to the current user; system data sources are visible to any user on that system). On Windows NT and above, you have the additional choice of a File data source, which allows multiple systems to share the information associated with the data source name.
