Installing Multiple Instances of the c-treeACE Server

To run multiple instances of the c-treeACE Server on one machine, each instance must be individually licensed, have a unique name, and have a unique set of server and data files. Multiple c-treeACE Servers cannot share files. For each Server, you must:

  1. Install each instance of the c-treeACE Server into a unique directory.
  2. Activate each license as described in the c-treeACE Server Activation Key Card. Some c-treeACE Server OEM vendors may provide pre-activated c-treeACE Servers with their applications.
  3. Specify a unique Server Name in the Server configuration file, ctsrvr.cfg, as described in "Configuring the c-treeACE Server".
  4. Configure each instance to have a unique Service Name as described in "Configuring the c-treeACE Server Service".
  5. Every instance of the c-treeACE Server requires a separate license.
