Columbia, MO — November 10, 1999 — FairCom® Corporation and Gavel & Gown Software, Inc., announced today the completion of a distribution agreement for several FairCom products for use within the Amicus Attorney IV product released this quarter. Amicus Attorney IV is the latest release of the world's leading practice management software for lawyers. Over 100,000 legal professionals have invested in Amicus Attorney.

Gavel & Gown Software has utilized FairCom's c-tree Plus® File Handler within their product line since its initial release in 1993. According to Ron Collins, president of Gavel & Gown, "FairCom's product line was an obvious choice back in 1993 and continues to be the best database from a cost versus benefit perspective."

FairCom's General Manager, Dan Theberge, notes that this latest distribution agreement between FairCom and Gavel & Gown encompasses the FairCom Server, FairCom ODBC Driver and new FairCom Crystal Reports» Driver. "By providing Gavel & Gown with distribution rights for these FairCom products, the benefits and power of the FairCom database Server and driver technology can be leveraged by the Amicus Attorney customer base."

The FairCom database Server offers customers better data throughput in several ways. Overall throughput is enhanced by a design which follows client/server architecture principles and further performance optimization is achieved with the use of internal multi-threading, and reduced network traffic. In addition, the FairCom Server offers complete transaction processing, full user security, encryption and many more features found in today's popular database products. According to Collins, "FairCom has done an outstanding job making the FairCom Server easy to install and configure. This is of great benefit to our customers, and a unique selling feature compared to other client/server technology."

The FairCom ODBC Driver offers Amicus Attorney users easy access to their data through any ODBC compliant application such as the Microsoft Office suite. "This level of functionality is important in today's increasingly connected information age and essential for a comprehensive package such as Amicus Attorney." Collins explains.

FairCom has provided software engineers with commercial database solutions since 1979. Today FairCom services customers worldwide with corporate offices in the United States, Japan, Brazil and Italy.
