St. Paul, Minn., July 30, 2001-- FairCom Corporation and O'Pin Systems announced the completion of an agreement to allow the use of the FairCom Server( and FairCom ODBC Driver with O'Pin Systems' REVEAL® software, the most secure online enterprise reporting product on the market. The FairCom Server provides the client/server database operations required by REVEAL, which speeds the flow of enterprise information by distributing reports and documents electronically the instant they are produced. REVEAL also warehouses reports for easy access at any time, on demand. Users easily and securely view, search, print and download reports and documents over company intranets or the Internet via a standard Web browser from anywhere in the world. O'Pin Systems' REVEAL software is deployed in a wide variety of large corporations and public institutions such as PepsiCo, Hughes Network Systems, TransAmerica Financial Services, ST Microelectronics, the U.S. Department of Defense, Johnson & Johnson, and CitiFinancial.
"O'Pin Systems required custom modifications to our standard database server," explains Randal Hoff, FairCom's Director of Business Development. "Specifically, they needed the ability to support up to 3,000 concurrent connections on Unix, and Windows NT systems. Although our standard servers support 1024 connections, we were able to make a few adjustments to easily meet their scalability requirements."
O'Pin Systems President and CEO Mark Moody commented, "FairCom has been extremely accommodating, not only in modifying its product, but also in flexible contract terms, benefiting both companies and our customers. FairCom's server and ODBC Driver provide the scalability and performance to support our new-generation software."
