With the c-treeACE Annual Maintenance program, you ensure that the investment you’ve made in your application’s database infrastructure remains current. FairCom supports many of the new industry standards such as ADO.NET and Entity Framework while enhancing our core technology to the benefit of all our customers. Enhancements are only available to customers enrolled in a current maintenance program.

Fundamentally, our development maintenance program gives you access:

• Access to the latest commercial release of c-treeACE
• Access to interim updates as they become available

Access to Support Engineers

One of the most important aspects of maintenance is that you have access to our engineers. Unlike many other companies in our industry that use out-sourced support staff, the engineers who work in our support area are the same engineers who have their hands in the code every day. FairCom considers our support to be one of the prime differentiators we offer to our customers.

This direct, personalized access allows you to work with someone who is knowledgeable and familiar with the internal workings of our code. In many cases, our support engineers become familiar with the fundamental architecture of our customers’ applications, making it possible for us to not only answer day-to-day questions, but to go further and offer longer term design solutions.

Being enrolled in maintenance also gives you access to other support options that we may offer on an as-needed basis, such as custom performance analysis, code review, and onsite support.

Access to Commercial Releases

Enrollment in the c-treeACE Annual Maintenance program ensures that you get the latest major release of our technology. Our most recent major release was V9 which included a wealth of new features and functionality including our ADO.NET driver, a new suite of graphical tools, significant performance enhancements, and new SQL functionality.

Avoid considerable upgrade expenses by keeping current with maintenance.

Access to Interim Updates

FairCom engineers never stop working. Once a line is drawn for a major release, they take a deep breath and start pushing forward with their eyes on the next major release. In between these major releases, however, FairCom creates interim updates to resolve minor issues encountered in QA or in the field, and to incorporate new features requested by customers.

While we don’t typically publicize the changes in these interim updates (which, when consolidated, roll into our major commercial releases), we do make them available as needed to customers who have encountered the issues in production or who require the requested feature.
