c-tree Plus technology has been powering applications for over 25 years. A recurring support issue that has been on the increase, is an overflow of transaction numbers. Until V8.14, c-tree Plus used a four-byte transaction number. This allowed just over one billion transactions. While indeed a huge number of transactions, it is no longer appropriate for today’s advanced high-volume transaction systems. c-tree Plus V8.14 introduced 6-byte transaction numbers.
